As Individuals, we all have Skills.  These incorporate our professional Knowledge, Experience, Use of Tooling or Equipment, Behaviours, and Leadership attributes.

More importantly, for most of us our skills are our most valuable, income generating asset.

Yet for most of us, this valuable asset is poorly recorded and evidenced, typically as subjective and ambiguous text contained in infrequently updated free form CVs and LinkedIn profiles, and or as static hard copy ‘verification’ documents stuffed into plastic sleeve folders or lost in email archives.

Worse still, it is this recording of ‘skills as words’ that leads to the frustrations and lack of transparency that we’ve all experienced when applying for jobs, pursuing higher paying roles or contracts, or otherwise trying to maximise the value of our skills. For instance, we've all spent hours 'wordsmithing' our CV's, hoping to create the maximum impact for that seemingly ‘perfect fit’ role, only to find out that you weren't considered because your CV was ‘difficult to interpret’ or the formatting was not to their liking - Argh.

Recording our ‘Skills as Data’ in a digital portfolio is far more sensible and beneficial.

Getting Started with MySeera

Creating your own MySeera - Skills and Career Portfolio is easy. Simply go to our registration page and complete the profile and preliminary self-assessment prompts. Likewise, when associating your MySeera portfolio with an employer, you will receive an email invitation from them to accept, following which you can select the assessment and verification artefact data you want to share with the employer.

Skills and Competency Assessments

Independent of any Employer Associations (see below), MySeera allows you to self-assess your professional attributes of Knowledge, Experience, Use of Tooling or Equipment, Behaviours, and or Leadership against any of the dozens of industry ‘best practice’ and internationally recognised skills and competency frameworks and datasets in the Seera platform.  This is the perfect way to begin quantifying and planning you career history and aspirations.

Additionally, you can be ‘job application ready’ by associating Referees with your key skills and competency assessments.

Verification and Compliance Management

Verification and Compliance artefacts include Qualifications, Certifications, Registrations, Licenses, Checks, Clearances, and References.

MySeera allows you to upload digital versions of these valuable Verification and Compliance artefacts securely and centrally which, together with expiry date notifications and automated compliance checking and alerts, minimises your risk of non-compliance.

Streamlined Job Applications

Today, more and more enterprises are implementing Skills as Data as the objective and transparent alternative to the ambiguity and subjectivity of conventional free text Position Descriptions, Job Ads, and CVs.  Many of these organisations are implementing our SeeraCloud platform to amplify the benefits of their skills and competency frameworks across their enterprise.  Your MySeera - Skills and Career Portfolio provides you seamless integration with these progressive employers.

This starts with accelerated Job Applications by auto-filling any existing skills and competency self assessments stored  in your MySeera portfolio.  Better still, where the job application requires you to self-assess against new skills and competencies, these assessments are automatically synced back to your portfolio for future reference or job applications.  Likewise, any Verification and Compliance Artefacts stored in MySeera can be incorporated in any job applications where the advertised role requires such supporting evidence.

And for those employers who have not yet caught onto the benefits of SeeraCloud, you can still stand out from the crowd by generating a PDF version of your selected MySeera Skills as Data assessments to include with your conventional CV.

Employer Associations

The easiest way to describe our Employer Association functionality is to compare it with your LinkedIn profile, where you maintain your own profile, however, you may also associate this with your current employer where that brings mutual benefit. 

MySeera is the Skills as Data equivalent, whereby you associate your MySeera portfolio as part of your Employer’s SeeraCloud platform.  Under this integrated association, all your positions descriptions, performance reviews, and professional development undertakings are automatically synchronised back to your MySeera portfolio, thus maintaining your own “whole of career” skills and competency history.

And just like with LinkedIn, when you leave your employer, you simply disassociate your MySeera portfolio leaving you with your personal MySeera profile intact, and your employer with the records they need for their HR compliance and analysis requirements.
